"She's a wonder." That's what my father said the day Lynn Colett helped him and my mother move into their new apartment at Aston Gardens in Venice, Florida.
When my parents told me they were moving to Aston Gardens, I started making plans to fly down from Chicago once or twice to assist in the process. This would have cost several thousand dollars. Then I talked to Lynn, who charged a reasonable rate and was able to do everything I planned to do - pick new furniture, complete paperwork, help my parents move - for less money than it would have cost me to make the trip down there. And I'm sure she handled these details more expeditiously and competently than I could have done because she's been through this routine many times.
Lynn is not the kind of person who says "it's not my job." Everything related to moving folks from one location to another, including the actual moving of items with her pick-up truck or a van, is in her bailiwick. She not only does what we ask her, she has a better understanding of the process of moving senior citizens from one place to another, she understands how to do everything necessary for the move, and she anticipates needs and takes care of fixing small problems before they become big problems. Lynn does whaever it takes, and she has a very clear understanding of what is required to transport people into new surroundings and help them feel at home, fast.
Lynn is an excellent communicator. She was available just about every time I called, and if I left a message, I could always count on her to get back to me.
Lynn is patient. When working with the elderly, it's important to be accepting, open and friendly. Lynn is all of those things, and although she made it clear with my parents that she was a professional and "on the clock," she was also like a good friend to my parents, and I think they felt she always had their best interests at heart.
My parents had resisted moving for a long time. Lynn made the process easy, simple and I believe even enjoyable for them. She has their, and my, complete approval and support, and I would heartily recommend her to anyone who is either moving or helping their loved ones move.

Dear Lynn,
Just a short note to tell you how pleased Audrey and I were with services you proviced during our recent move. As you know your Company was recommended to us by the people at Aston Gardens.
They were absolutely right in their advice to us that your company provided an excellent service. You arranged not only the move but contacted and arranged for all other services. You also purchased needed supplies and replenished some of our bathroom supplies which were in short supply. Not only are you an excellent organizer, you are also a great decorator. In our new apartment you arranged furniture, hung pictures, place Audreys collectibles in attractive settings and in general did an excellent decorating job.
Now on to one of your stronger points, cleaning, you had the knowledge to use the right chemicals and you used them effectively. As a tribute to your abilities, the first couple who showed up are returning today for another look., I'll keep you advised. While watching you and Alice work I can honestly say it was the first time I had ever seen the owner of a company on hands and knees scrubbing hard to reach spots with a tooth brush.
I would not hesitate to recommend your Company to anyone contemplating a move or having a need for any of your services.
